Craig Yount
Director of Land Analytics

Craig Yount serves as Director of Land Analytics at Contender America, where he works closely with Finance, Acquisition, and Development teams to accurately model and forecast the financial performance of potential projects across the Southeast region. In this role, he reviews due diligence materials to identify and mitigate future risks while projecting costs and pricing in various submarkets.
Craig brings extensive experience in residential real estate development and construction to his position. Prior to joining Contender America, he spent over six years with DRB Homes, where he progressed through increasingly responsible positions. Most recently, he served as Land Acquisition Manager, identifying land positions, negotiating contracts for new communities, running financial models, and performing comparative market analyses to expand DRB's footprint in upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina. He also managed land development projects from inception through completion in preparation for residential construction.
Earlier in his career at DRB Homes, Craig worked as a Project Manager for four years, overseeing the scheduling, budgeting, and construction of new single-family detached homes and townhomes. His comprehensive background spans land development, construction management, and warranty support, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the residential development process.
Craig earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Religion from Furman University, where he was actively involved in campus leadership through the Admission Ambassadors, Heller Service Corps, and Men of Distinction. Having grown up around construction his entire life, he brings both professional expertise and deep-rooted industry knowledge to his work at Contender America.
